Welcome to the Fintech Jungle - Event Recap

We hosted our 8th Embedded Finance Review Event on November 19th, 2025, in Berlin. A night to remember!

Huge thanks to our sponsors Banking Circle & Visa.

Compared to our previous events, we decided to broaden the scope and focus on Fintech Infrastructure as a whole. Thus, there is still a strong Embedded Finance angle, with many non-financial brands attending, as well as builders from pure fintech companies.

Building Fintech from 0 to 1 with Nick from Rally

Rally founder and CEO Nick Telecki kicked off the night with an honest, transparent presentation on how his team built Rally. He explained that they spoke with many European banking-as-a-service providers and outlined their selection criteria. He concluded his presentations with his three most important tips when talking to these providers: fake it until you make it, pitch like a VC and don't rush the signature.

Building with Stablecoins: What Fintech builders need to know with Maike from Visa

In the second presentation, Maike Hornung from Visa took us on a journey into the world of stablecoins. There is probably no hotter topic in Fintech than stablecoins right now. However, there are still many unknowns, especially for fintech builders that are not crypto-natives. Maike explained how stablecoins differ, what makes them unique, and, most importantly, the relevant use cases for builders out there.

Building Fintech products at scale: Panel with Banking Circle, Upvest and Wolt

And for the final part on stage, we invited Timo Florian Zwez from Banking Circle, Dr Til Rochow from Upvest, and Dr Mikko Riikkinen from Wolt to discuss the challenges of building fintech products at scale. We connected the dots with Nick's presentation on building fintech products from 0 to 1, focusing on expansion, buy vs. build, and scaling challenges.

Last but not least: networking

All insights on stage were targeted at the Fintech builders in the room. And I am sure there was an insight or learning for everyone in the room, based on their individual situation and building stage. While the presentations and panel on stage were insightful, most of the "event magic" happened during the networking.

Our plans for future events

Personally, I was very pleased with the positive feedback. A lot of people mentioned that we had the right number of people and also a great mix of individuals in the room.

But of course, we could write anything here. If you want to hear it from the participants directly, have a look atthe public posts below:

PS: I am already working on two events in 2026

Please reach out if you'd like to support or sponsor a future event of ours.
